John Farrow (n. Sídney (Austrália); 10 de fevereiro de 1904 - Beverly Hills, Califórnia, 28 de janeiro de 1963 ), director, roteirista e produtor cinematográfico australiano estabelecido nos Estados Unidos.
Seu nome completo era John N.B. Villiers-Farrow. Começou a escrever nos anos 20 quando trabalhava como marinheiro na Austrália. Transladou-se a Hollywood como conselheiro técnico em marinha e cedo começou a trabalhar também como roteirista. Escreveu guiões para filmes desde 1927 até 1959 e também dirigiu entre 1934 e 1959. Farrow era também escritor de histórias e relatos curtos.
Recorda-se-lhe também por seu casal com a actriz Maureen Ou'Sullivan, com a que para poder se casar, teve que se converter ao catolicismo romano. Tiveram sete filhos, três delas são actrizes: Mia Farrow (a mais popular), Stephanie Farrow e Prudence Farrow.
Morreu em 1963 de um ataque ao coração nas colinas de Beverly Hills (Califórnia) à idade de 58 anos. Foi enterrado no Cemitério de Holy Cross em Culver City.
